Based on the NCRL list for this week's comics shipping from Diamond, here are a few things to look for at the local comic shop tomorrow:
The Pick of the Week is Scott McCloud's Making Comics, which promises to be more than just a straightforward how-to book by mixing in a healthy dose of comix theory.
In other comics:
Antarctic have a color manga collection of Rod Espinosa's New Alice in Wonderland, and the premiere of Fred Perry's S-Guild.
Boom! have the third issue of Hero Squared Ongoing.
DC collect James Robinson's Batman OYL story, Face the Face; premiere Jim Starlin's Mystery in Space and Harvey Pekar's new American Splendor mini; and have new issues of 52 (week 18), All New Atom (#3), Battler Britton (#3), Detective Comics (#823), Jonah Hex (#11), and Y, the Last Man (#49).
Image have a new issue of Noble Causes (#23).
Marvel debut Marvel 1602: Fantastick Four; and have new issues of Agents of Atlas (#2), Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (#12), Marvel Team-Up (#24), and the Punisher (#37).
NBM have a new issue of Boneyard (#22).
Oni finally have the sixth issue of Local.
Top Shelf have a collection of The Surrogates.
Vertical have a paperback edition of the third volume of Tezuka's Buddha.
Remember, new comics are on Thursday this week. Enjoy!

Blogwhoring time. One book you didn't mention, but which is now out, is Alan Moore & Melinda Gebbie's for-adults-only Lost Girls. It's terribly pricey; but I did a blog post explaining how to buy it legally for only $15. In case anyone's interested.
And can't wait to read Scott McCloud's new book!
