Commentary:
* The upcoming Diary of a Wimpy Kid volume maintains the #1 spot, and slips a bit to #19 on the overall bestseller chart. Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour stays at #2 and slips to #37 on the overall chart.
* The release of the Kick-Ass movie onto DVD & Blu-Ray prompts the graphic novel to hop back up into the top ten.
* The rise of books like Maus, Persepolis, Understanding Comics, Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns serves as a signal that the start of the college fall semester is soon upon us. American Born Chinese hops up as well, which makes me wonder if it is starting to show up on syllabi?
* The Walking Dead and Blackest Night continue to be spread across the chart. Together they take up fourteen slots, or just over 25% of the chart.

Hmmph...I'm disappointed that Mouse Guard didn't make the list.
Maus, Watchmen, Perseopolis...it shouldn't be a shock that they are on the Top 50 list. Those are now considered classics among comics and graphic novels.
