Commentary:

• Last week's Marvel Kindle sale is over, and things start to return to normal on the Amazon comics chart (or, at least, normal for the first week of January). The Dilbert calendar remains on top, with the newly released latest volume of Saga hot on its heels. 
• With the start of a new academic term, we see perpetual college-text favorites such as Persepolis, Fun Home, and Maus return to the top of the chart. 
• There they are joined by the many comic strip calendars which are also hanging about for the start of the year.
• The top debut this week is a new issue of The Walking Dead on Kindle. Other debuts include preorders for new volumes of My Hero Academia and The Legend of Korra; a random Kindle issue of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic; the Kindle edition of Saga Volume 8; a digital exclusive collection of Sonic the Hedgehog comics; and Yumi Sakugawa's The Little Book of Life Hacks.
