Commentary:

• Batman: The Killing Joke takes the top slot for the second week in a row.
• No sooner do Jeffrey Brown's Darth Vader books slide out of their Father's Day-fueled perch atop the comics chart then his third Jedi Academy book comes out and shoots up to the #2 position. The Kindle edition debuts in the middle of the chart. Remember kids: Jeffrey Brown + Star Wars = $$$$$$
• The top debut this week is, oddly, Superman: Red Son, a twelve-year-old Elseworlds book by Mark Miller, Dave Johnson & Kilian Plunkett. I looked in vain for a reason, but all I could find was an announcement of some forthcoming statues based on the characters.
• The pre-orders for the second volume of The Wicked + The Divine debut strong, and bring up sales of the first volume as well. Could W+D be the next Saga?
• The new issue of Injustice debuts in single digital issue land, as does the first issue of Marvel's Civil War (Marvel has finally started making their single issues available on Kindle.)
• Also debuting this week is the sale-prince Kindle edition of a Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and the second volume of Southern Bastards.
