Sunday is Monkey Covers day here at YACB. Because there's nothing better than a comic with a monkey on the cover.Look, it's a giant purple bow and arrow-wielding gorilla on Bob Brown's 1966 cover for Tomahawk #107.

Is that giant purple gorilla an ancestor of Grape Ape (you know, the 70s Hanna-Barbera giant purple gorilla cartoon character)? If so, I had no idea Grape Ape was Native American. ;)
This cover was also used for a t-shirt for the band Tomahawk... it was slightly modified to include the names of the band members.
