Sunday is Monkey Covers day here at YACB. Because there's nothing better than a comic with a monkey on the cover.
Look, it's a giant purple bow and arrow-wielding gorilla on Bob Brown's 1966 cover for Tomahawk #107.
(Standard disclaimer about giant purple gorillas masquerading as Native American stereotypes not really being monkeys applies.)

Is that giant purple gorilla an ancestor of Grape Ape (you know, the 70s Hanna-Barbera giant purple gorilla cartoon character)? If so, I had no idea Grape Ape was Native American. ;)
This cover was also used for a t-shirt for the band Tomahawk... it was slightly modified to include the names of the band members.
