Monkey Covers

Jungle Comics #140Sunday is Monkey Covers day here at YACB. Because there's nothing better than a comic with a monkey on the cover.

From 1951, Jungle Comics #140 gives us the perfetc jungle comics cover: Brawny raised-by-animals white man in a loincloth? Check! Woman in peril while wearing leopard-print bikini? Check! Menacing gorilla? Check!

(Standard disclaimer about menacing gorillas not really being monkeys applies.)

Monkey day should be Monday because I like the alliteration. In anycase, all the entries appear to be apes, rather than monkeys, therefore I propose retitling it Simian Sundays. Then all the lower order primates get to play! Of course this is your blog and you can call it whatever you like, but you have inspired me to devote a day to dinosaur covers. Marvel alone will keep me well stocked. Now, what to call it...
